Our team at North East Life Physiotherapy will get you moving so that you can do the things you love.

We will provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment based on the latest evidence to ensure that you can return to your normal lifestyle, work or sport.

You do not need a doctor’s referral to see one of our Physiotherapists. We are Workcover, DVA, TAC, NDIS and Medicare approved providers. Physiotherapy services can be claimed with private health insurance if you have extras cover. HICAPS is available so you can claim your rebate on the spot

Brendan Liddell


Director, APA Sports Physiotherapist

Brendan has completed his Post-Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy and his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy. Part of Brendan’s Masters training involved Clinical training at the Australian Institute of Sport and the AFL Richmond Football Club.

Brendan is a titled APA Sports Physiotherapist, a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and an Accredited Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist. He is also an Occupational Health Physiotherapist, promoting health, productivity and teamwork in workplaces, as well as worksite assessments and ergonomic workstation assessments.

Due to his post graduate qualifications and areas of special interest, Brendan is able to provide the highest quality post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, accurate diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries, as well as treat back and neck pain and headaches. Brendan also uses Dry Needling in the management of some musculoskeletal conditions.

Brendan also has a special interest in shoulder pain and rehabilitation of the shoulder and is also hand therapy clinician. He works as part of our hand therapy clinic having post graduate training in hand therapy.

Outside of work, Brendan follows football, tennis, soccer, basketball and cricket, and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and fishing and travelling with family.

Tony Schneider


Director, APA Sports Physiotherapist

Tony completed his undergraduate training in 1982 and his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 1987. He has worked in the USA and was the physiotherapist for the Australian Men’s Lacrosse and Alpine Skiing teams at international competitions.

Tony is also an Occupational Health Physiotherapist, having been on the TAC Clinical Advisory Panel and the Physiotherapy Advisory Group to the VWA and TAC, as well as an accredited Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist. More recently he has developed a passion for chronic disease prevention and is accredited to run the Life! Diabetes Prevention program.

Outside Physiotherapy, Tony is involved in community organisations as well as cycling, skiing and flying powered aircraft.

Amanda Baxter


Director

Amanda works in our Yarrawonga practice. She is a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and has a special interest in treating necks and backs.

She is also Clinical Pilates trained and likes to use her skills with a wide variety of people including the elderly for strength and balance programs, the sporting population, people recovering from injury, or people wanting to exercise to improve their life.

Amanda has completed an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and has a special interest in enhancing client outcomes through optimal nutrition. Amanda plays netball in Whorouly and likes to keep active by running and boxing training.

Kristy Newton


Director

Kristy graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2007, and started work as a physiotherapist at the Albury Base Hospital rotating through orthopaedic, neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal outpatients, intensive care, medical and surgical rotations.

Kristy commenced work with North East Life in 2009, and has completed all levels of McKenzie Therapy in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, and is an Accredited Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist. Kristy has a wealth of experience in post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, and has particular interests in women’s health, sports injuries, back, neck, and shoulder complaints.

Outside of work, Kristy plays netball for the Wangaratta Rovers, and is a keen football and cricket follower. She enjoys the outdoors and activities such as hiking, bike-riding, and kayaking.

Hayden Singe


Physiotherapist

Hayden joined the North East Life Physiotherapy team after completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in 2016. He is particularly interested in sports and musculoskeletal injuries. Since graduating, Hayden has completed Clinical Pilates Courses as well as McKenzie and APA accredited courses for back and neck related injuries and pain.

Hayden is also associated with the Murray Bushrangers as the U16’s physiotherapist and is the U18’s rehabilitation coordinator.

Outside work Hayden participates in a range of sports including football, tennis and water-skiing.

Kiera Frey


Physiotherapist

Kiera joined North East Life Physiotherapy in 2017 after finishing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University.

Kiera has completed Clinical Pilates training as well as the McKenzie course for assessing, diagnosing and treating neck and low back pain. Kiera is currently the Physiotherapist for the Female U/18 Murray Bushrangers Football Club.

Kiera has interests in a broad range of areas including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Women’s Health and Clinical Pilates. Kiera has also completed an APA run course on ‘Continence and Women’s Health’.
Out of work Kiera enjoys alpine skiing, water skiing, hiking and social sports.

Thomas Frawley


Physiotherapist

Thomas Frawley is a Wangaratta local, returning to his home town with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. Tom’s passion are Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He has a particular interest in acute and chronic back and neck pain, as well as diagnosing, treating and setting up rehabilitation programs for sporting injuries.

Outside of work Tom enjoys playing soccer for the Wangaratta City Football (soccer) Club, being a member of the successful premiership team in 2015, alongside a past B&F under his belt. Tom also enjoys cycling and is looking forward to riding around local areas.

Cam Bishop


Physiotherapist

Cam Bishop returns to his home town with both a Bachelor of Exercsie and Sport Science and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Cam has a particular interest in sporting and musculoskeletal injuries, where he is able to apply knowledge in load monitoring and strength and conditioning principles to achieve the absolute best possible results for his patients.

As well as working as part of the North East Life Physiotherapy team, Cam is also the High-Performance Manager for the Murray Bushrangers, where he oversees the High Performance and Medical departments for the club.

Outside of work Cam enjoys a range of recreational sports including golf and long-distance running.

Chanelle Gaspari


Physiotherapist / Personal Trainer

Chanelle graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has completed further studies to become a qualified Personal Trainer.

Chanelle offers a Personal Training service that is modeled on Physiotherapy principles. She provides evidence-based exercise programs to assist rehabilitation, improve fitness, prevent chronic disease and enhance sporting performance.

She has a special interest in women’s health & fitness, weight loss, diabetes prevention and rehabilitation after injury or surgery.

Liz Hayes


Physiotherapist

Liz has been part of the North East Life team since 2013. She recently completed advanced training in Women’s Health and Continence Management, an area of healthcare about which she is passionate.

As well as wrangling 3 young children and helping to manage her family farm, Liz is active in playing and administering netball in Benalla and Violet Town.

Serryn Tacey


Physiotherapist

Serryn comes to the region after studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Charles Sturt University in Albury.
Her honours project, ran at North East Health Wangaratta, studied the benefit of pre-operative Physiotherapy education on patient recovery. As such, she knows well the importance of quality education and using knowledge to empower clients to achieve their best results.
Before studying Physiotherapy, Serryn obtained a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Coming from a strong science background, Serryn is passionate about evidence-based practice and using the best available research to guide her treatments.

Outside of work Serryn enjoys riding horses, with particular interest in eventing. She also spends her time outdoors in the alpine areas both skiing and mountaineering.

Maria Simioni


Physiotherapist

Maria has been associated with North East Life since 2000. Maria works at the Wangaratta Private Hospital, involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of orthopaedic and medical patients. Maria has also recently completed Level 1 and 2 Clinical Pilates training and is enjoying being involved in this exciting area of exercise rehabilitation.

Anna Pasquali


Physiotherapist

Anna graduated from Melbourne University in 2001 and commenced work with North East Life in 2009.
Anna works part-time at the Wangaratta Private Hospital, treating orthopaedic and medical patients.

Anna has recently completed level 1 & 2 Clinical Pilates.

Anna also has a special interest in hand therapy. Anna is part of our hand therapy clinic having post graduate education and experience in hand therapy.

When not working or being a mum Anna can be found training on the athletics track having competed at a high level of athletics in 100m and 400m events, being a previous winner of the Stawell gift 400m event and runner-up in the prestigious 100m event.

Maddy Anderson


Management Assistant

Maddy is our Management Assistant who has been with North East Life since 2015. Maddy is born and raised in Wangaratta and loves being a part of the north east community and what they provide to the area.

Outside of work, Maddy enjoys playing netball, camping, travelling & spending time with her friends and family.

Kelly Challis


Management Assistant

Kelly is our Management Assistant and joined North East Life in 2015. Kelly was born and bred in Benalla.

Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends whilst wrangling 3 kids and their sporting dreams.

Janene Webster


Administration / Clinical support staff

Janene is an Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff and started with North East Life in 2014.

Outside of work Janene loves to spend time on her hobby farm, gardening and horse traill riding. Janene is very family orientated and her animals give her much joy.

Julie Mcleod


Administration / Clinical support staff

Julie is an Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff. Julie joined the North East Life team in 2018.
Julie is married and has 3 teenage children. Outside of work Julie enjoys watching her children play sport on weekends, and also loves to shop, wine, dine & most of all travel.

Chontelle Jackson


Administration / Clinical support staff

Chontelle is an Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff who joined the North East Life team in early 2019. Chontelle hails from Hamilton at a young age to grow up in Wangaratta.

Outside of work Chontelle enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to wine & dine and spend her time down by the river.

Alicia Canning


Administration / Clinical support staff

Alicia is an Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff. Alicia is a Wangaratta local and started working at North East Life in 2017.

Outside work Alicia enjoys playing social netball and going on adventures with her family.

Sue Russell


Administration / Clinical support staff

Sue is our Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff who has worked at North East Life in Yarrawonga since 2008. Sue is originally from the Yarra Valley and moved to Bundalong in 2004.

In her spare time Sue enjoys camping, fishing and following the girls in AFLW.

Chloe Walker


Administration / Clinical support staff

Chloe is an Administration Assistant and Clinical Support Staff who started with North East Life in 2018.  Chloe was born and raised in Bendigo before moving to Yarrawonga in 2015.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family, socialising with friends and travelling.
