Our team at North East Life Physiotherapy will get you moving so that you can do the things you love.

We will provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment based on the latest evidence to ensure that you can return to your normal lifestyle, work or sport.

You do not need a doctor’s referral to see one of our Physiotherapists. We are Workcover, DVA, TAC, NDIS and Medicare approved providers. Physiotherapy services can be claimed with private health insurance if you have extras cover. HICAPS is available so you can claim your rebate on the spot

Brendan Liddell


Director, APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist

Being an APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and having completed his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy, Brendan is able to bring cutting edge physiotherapy skills to the management of any sports injury or related pain. With experience at the AFL Richmond Football Club as well the Australian Institute of Sport in the lead up to an Olympic Games, Brendan is able to use a combination of manual therapy techniques as well as targeted rehabilitation to accurately diagnose and manage your injury and ensure your quickest recovery possible.

His current role with the Central Coast Mariners in Australia’s elite A-League soccer competition means that his on-going elite sports physiotherapy skills will either keep you on the track or get you back to your sport with the absolute minimum time missed.

Having played local and representative football and now a local tennis lover, Brendan knows that you just want to continue playing your chosen activity, or to even get started on your health and fitness journey. His special interest in hip and groin pain, ACL rehabilitation and shoulder pain will mean that the sky is the limit for your goals.

Being a very motivated person, Brendan loves working with like-minded, goal-driven individuals. This means that you have huge potential to achieve and exceed your expectations.

As a fitness enthusiast, sports lover, traveller and outdoor adventurer, Brendan will relate directly to your stage of life, health and fitness goals, and comprehensively guide you through the management of your pain or injury.

Tim Dornom


Director, APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Living in Bright, Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge and over 16 years experience. With a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and other advanced training, he has an expert level of assessment, diagnosis and treatment in all injuries.

Your injury/pain is Tim’s primary focus, and his combined passion for physiotherapy and enthusiasm towards each individual patient will show through in your impressive recovery and dedicated rehabilitation. His extensive knowledge directs a specific hands-on-approach with appropriate therapeutic exercises and expert technique advice for your specific injury that yields superior benefits to you.

As an avid runner and former elite triathlete and Melbourne Storm Physio, Tim is efficient at enhancing running techniques, improving your walking and running sports. By optimising your running technique, Tim is able to ensure your walking and running aches and niggles are left in the past.

As a father of 3 youngsters whom dance regularly and enjoy hiking the North East, a ‘help around the home hubby’, social footballer and home renovator, there aren’t many injuries he hasn’t seen or helped with.

Tony Schneider


Director, APA Sports Physiotherapist

Tony completed his undergraduate training in 1982 and his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 1987. He has worked in the USA and was the physiotherapist for the Australian Men’s Lacrosse and Alpine Skiing teams at international competitions.

Tony is also an Occupational Health Physiotherapist, having been on the TAC Clinical Advisory Panel and the Physiotherapy Advisory Group to the VWA and TAC, as well as an accredited Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist. More recently he has developed a passion for chronic disease prevention and is accredited to run the Life! Diabetes Prevention program.

Outside Physiotherapy, Tony is involved in community organisations as well as cycling, skiing and flying powered aircraft.

Millie Flanagan


Director, Physiotherapist and Women’s Health Physiotherapist

Completing a Double Degree in Sports and Exercise Science, Human Development and Sport and Recreation Management on top of her Physiotherapy degree, Millie is a lover of all things sports and fitness. 

Millie has completed her postgraduate Sports Physio course as well as being a certified Netball KNEE prevention Physiotherapist and as such, is passionate about sports injury prevention. Being a keen netballer herself, she knows all too well the importance of getting back out on the court or field ASAP. Need a pre-season plan? Review? Return to sport guide post injury? She’s got you covered for a speedy return.  

A firm believer in a well-rounded exercise regime, Millie frequents her local gym classes, loves a Sunday morning long run and has a special interest in Pilates. She has completed her Part A and B DMA Clinical Pilates course and incorporates sport and rehab specific exercises into her patient centered programs.

Sore back or neck? Millie has completed her McKenzie Part A and B spinal course that has given her extra knowledge in the spinal field to thoroughly assess your back and neck and treat you with the most recent literature and evidence-based treatment. 

Having experience working in the field of Occupational Rehab Physiotherapy, Millie is also equipped to turn those job sites into an ergonomic dream. She is happy to present, educate and liaise with any workplace regarding the health and safety of their workers and help prevent injuries in the workplace. 

Millie has also completed post-graduate study to become a Women’s Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She is passionate about pre- and post-natal healthcare and supporting women in every stage of their lifespan to live the best, healthiest and most active versions of themselves, all whilst looking after their pelvic floor. 

Cam Bishop


Director

As a senior member at North East Life Physiotherapy and a true born and bred local, Cam delivers a thorough assessment and accurate diagnosis of your injury, ensuring you receive the best care possible. If you have suffered a sporting injury, developed back or neck pain, or over done it with DIY weekends, Cam is the physiotherapist to see to ensure you’re well cared for.

Restoring your function and removing your pain are Cam’s priorities, aided by his intimate physiological and biomechanical knowledge gained from his two degrees in Physiotherapy AND Exercise and Sport Science. Yes, 2 degrees, and a Level 2 Strength and Conditioning coach.

If your injury is running related, Cam has the expertise to provide an in-depth running assessment with drills and methods to improve your speed and efficiency. His own exceptionally high level of running pedigree, combined with local O&M and elite junior football experience, provide you with high level expert treatment.

Chanelle Gaspari


Physiotherapist / Personal Trainer

Chanelle graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has completed further studies to become a qualified Personal Trainer.

Chanelle offers a Personal Training service that is modeled on Physiotherapy principles. She provides evidence-based exercise programs to assist rehabilitation, improve fitness, prevent chronic disease and enhance sporting performance.

She has a special interest in women’s health & fitness, weight loss, diabetes prevention and rehabilitation after injury or surgery.

Liz Hayes


Physiotherapist

Liz has been part of the North East Life team since 2013. She recently completed advanced training in Women’s Health and Continence Management, an area of healthcare about which she is passionate.

As well as wrangling 3 young children and helping to manage her family farm, Liz is active in playing and administering netball in Benalla and Violet Town.

Serryn Tacey


Physiotherapist

Serryn comes to the region after studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Charles Sturt University in Albury.
Her honours project, ran at North East Health Wangaratta, studied the benefit of pre-operative Physiotherapy education on patient recovery. As such, she knows well the importance of quality education and using knowledge to empower clients to achieve their best results.
Before studying Physiotherapy, Serryn obtained a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Coming from a strong science background, Serryn is passionate about evidence-based practice and using the best available research to guide her treatments.

Outside of work Serryn enjoys riding horses, with particular interest in eventing. She also spends her time outdoors in the alpine areas both skiing and mountaineering.

Helen Archer


Until recently, Helen has been working in a Melbourne Physiotherapy clinic, bringing to Yarrawonga/Mulwala over 30 years’ experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Helen is a graduate from the Lincoln Institute and has also completed her Post-graduate diploma in Manipulative Therapy.

Helen has specialised for many years in the treatment of shoulder pain and injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. She has a keen interest in the treatment of back and neck pain as well as the role of Physiotherapy in chronic pain conditions.

In her spare time Helen loves doing Clinical Pilates, alpine skiing and getting into the garden.

Robert Fraser


With a Masters in Physiotherapy and experience working at many clinics across the north east, Rob is a trusted member of the team here at NorthEast Life.

Rob uses a hands-on approach to relieve your pain and enhance your movement. Rob enhances your recovery by tailoring specific and effective exercises to compliment your treatment, and have you back to work or returning to sport faster and in better condition.

If your pain is neck or back, shoulder or knee, or recovery from surgery of any kind, Rob is passionate about ensuring you receive the best care possible, guiding you through the stages of rehabilitation with elite care. His advanced training will ensure your treatment and recovery is in the best hands possible.

Rob is an experienced paraglider, new father, and enthusiastic hiker and climber. He enjoys his hobby farm in Myrtelford when he gets spare time

Aaron Breust


As a passionate and enthusiastic physiotherapist, Aaron prides himself on listening to your story and finding the best way to help you. Whether your injuries are chronic long standing pain, or recent injuries from sports or weekend DIY projects, Aaron will assess, diagnose and treat your injury to get you better faster.

If your injury is neck or back related, Aaron has completed more advanced training in this area to ensure your treatment and recovery is of the highest standards. His knowledge, further training and experience will give you the utmost confidence that you are on the right track.

As a elite tennis player and senior footballer, Aaron has had his own fair share of injuries, allowing him first hand knowledge of your pain and suffering, and how to best move forward. Empathy is one of Aarons strong points.

Aaron is well rounded in his love for almost all sports, something he combines with his physiotherapy knowledge to again enhance your rehabiliation from injuries in various sports.

Samantha Leung


Sam recently graduated from Latrobe Uni Bendigo in Masters of Physiotherapy, prior to that Sam
had completed a Science degree at Melbourne Uni.
Sam has recently joined the team at our Benalla clinic.
Sam has completed further training in Clinical Pilates and the Mckenzie method, and has an interest
in spinal, musculoskeletal and neurological Physiotherapy.
In her spare time, Sam is an active volunteer within her community.

Tilly Lang


Tilly has a strong interest in musculoskeletal and women’s health physiotherapy and has completed post graduate training in the management of low back pain and neck pain. Tilly provides the most supportive, client centred care that solely focuses on your goals and helping you achieve what is important in your life.

With Tilly’s experience playing local sport and her Physiotherapy qualifications, Tilly is able to provide you with an evidence-based management plan to keep you playing at your maximum potential.

Having grown up on a farm in regional Victoria and been a part of a regional community, Tilly enjoys working with motivated individuals to enable them to continue working or participating in their chosen activities.

Mitch Hill


The team here at North East Life Wangaratta are excited to welcome Mitch. Mitch graduated from CQUniversity in 2020 with Honours and has been gaining immense experience with a wide and varied case load, mainly focusing in private practise.

Mitch will use his skills and knowledge to listen to you, understand your needs and work with you to reach your goals. Be it returning to running, eliminating your pain or planning your rehabilitation, Mitch has a passion to achieving your goals. Mitch is highly skilled in managing and treating your arthritis needs after completing the specialised GLA:D course.

Mitch has a keen interest in fitness outside of work, including playing local football in the Ovens and King league, high level cricket, and watching his Essendon Bombers where possible. When not huffing and puffing, Mitch loves combining his loves of the outdoors and his keen eye for photography.
